Two areas of expertise, one maritime standard
The Asterias Avocats group brings together two members of the Paris Bar around maritime, transport and insurance law.
From the sea to the Bar
Asterias Avocats grew out of the meeting of practitioners from the maritime world, transport insurance and broking. Franck Dollfus, a former merchant-navy cadet pilot, spent twelve years as a legal and claims manager in broking and international insurance companies before joining the Bar in 2006 and founding his Paris firm in 2011.
Christian Hübner began as legal counsel to the marine division of AXA Corporate Solutions and the FFSA, before practising in broking and then as a lawyer. An arbitrator at the Paris Maritime Arbitration Chamber and a lecturer in inland-waterway and maritime arbitration law, he advises in French, English and German. Together, the two lawyers cover the full range of activities that the sea and transport give rise to.
